So I have not been posting here at this blog, but I have definitely been haiku-ing. Learning Japanese in order to read haiku has turned out to be one of the best learning adventures I have ever had, and my home is now full of Japanese flash cards: haiku flash cards, proverb flash cards, vocabulary flash cards, kanji flash cards — so many flash cards! Here are some of them:

In November, I also started blogging daily about Japanese, but not here at this blog (which is not really suited for quick daily blogging). So what I thought I would do for now is just post here once a month (happy December!) with a quick list of links to my blog posts at the other blog. I'm using that blog for Japanese proverbs as well as haiku (the combination of haiku and proverbs has been perfect for language-learning!), and also just for some nice Buddhist parables (because my interest in Buddhism and specifically in Zen is also part of this whole project).

So, here are the haiku posts from last month:

Plus you can see the proverb posts and parable posts if you are curious. Then I'll be back here at this blog sometime in early January with another update like this one.

Happy reading, writing, and learning to you all!
